A-S-K and prayer

Luke 11:9-10 (New American Standard Bible)
9 "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
10 "For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

Ask
Seek
Knock

This is what we are supposed to do with prayer.

What in your life do you need to ask God for?

Do you have any prayer requests?

If you do, I would be honored to pray about them for you.

Please send me an email to the address below in this blog post or attach a comment to the end of this blog post.

Make sure that you tell me if you want it to be kept private/confidential,--or if you want me to put it on this blog so others can pray about it for you.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to allow God to use me for His purpose in praying for you.

God bless and have a Word-filled day.

Local, National, and World News and Prayer

Take a look at your city, state, national, and world-wide news every day and pray for the things which are headlines and which grab your eye. Follow the Lord’s lead and pray for whatever weighs on your heart to pray about and make sure to keep track of these prayers in your journal.

Not praying for one another is sin

1 Samuel 12:23a (New American Standard Bible)

23 "Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you.

If that verse doesn’t encourage us to pray for each other, what does?

Have the mind of Christ

This is the verse of the day form BibleGateway.com for today:

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!” - Philippians 2:5-8

Today's passage is from the New International Version, ©2011.

This is a good passage to memorize or keep on hand when dealing with the tough stuff of life. It’s a good passage to have in mind, and in your heart, when you pray.
